Founded by R.M.(Bubber) Caine in 1933, Coldwell Banker Caine has established a rich heritage in their years of serving Greenville and the
Upstate of South Carolina. Times have changed, but the company’s focus has continued
to be “service beyond the contract” in order to offer quality real estate services
to our customers and clients. In the 90’s Caine began a controlled expansion program
with the purchase of 46 year old Grier & Company in Spartanburg. Simultaneous
with it’s affiliation with Coldwell Banker in 1997, Caine also purchased Century
Associates and Jack Newton, Realtors, the local Coldwell Banker affiliates in
Greenville and Spartanburg. In 2002, Caine joined forces with The Furman Co. -
Residential LLC - a former division of The Furman Co. which was established in
1888. The most recent growth is melding CB Hugh Durham & Associates into
the Coldwell Banker Caine family. Now the firm covers the I-85 corridor from Georgia
to the North Carolina lines.
Frank Halter is currently the CEO of this third generation, family-owned and
operated company. Under his direction, Caine Company has grown from 6 associates
to one of the premier real estate firms in the Upstate of South Carolina with
offices in Greenville and Spartanburg. Today, Brad Halter, grandson of R. M. Caine, is
the President of the company and responsible for oversight of both the Residential
and Commercial divisions of Coldwell Banker Caine. Brad has 30 years of real estate
experience in the Upstate and is active in the local Association of Realtors and
a member of the South Carolina Association of Relators Board of Directors.
Coldwell Banker Caine’s Residential Group consistently demonstrates outstanding production and professionalism
and boasts the highest production per sales associate of all firms in the Greater
Greenville Association of Realtors. They have enjoyed this position over many
years because of their attention to detail and by focusing on client needs. The
average experience level per Caine residential sales associate is more than 15
years in the Greenville and Spartanburg markets. Most Caine sales associates have
earned advanced sales designations from the National Association of Realtors and
attend continuing education on important issues in the real estate industry.
Caine’s affiliation with Coldwell Banker and its network of over 126,000 sales
associates and 3800 offices offers quality relocation services both nationally
and internationally. Their Relocation Department is a market leader in the active
Upstate corporate community and consistently calls on and services more than 200
corporations such as Michelin, BMW, Lockheed, and the Greenville Hospital System. In
the past, Coldwell Banker Caine has been involved with almost every major corporate headquarters’ relocation
and assists hundreds of transferees each year. They are a principal broker with
Cartus, the largest relocation company in the world.
Coldwell Banker Caine’s Commercial Group consistently maintains a very high market share in the Upstate
and their commercial associates average 12 years experience in the market. Five
associates have obtained the prestigious CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment
Member) designation, more than any other company in the state - an indication
of Caine’s commitment to professionalism and education. Coldwell Banker Caine can offer national and international reach through its commercial membership
in Coldwell Banker Commercial, founded in 1910.
Our commercial specialists provide professional services ranging from site acquisition
and disposition, landlord and tenant representation, leasing, property and asset
management, and development. In addition to brokerage services, Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine also provides management expertise to our clients. Currently, in excess of 1.5
million square feet of commercial, office, warehouse, and retail space is managed
